Most people love traveling and exploring the beauty of various places in the world. However, not all of them are willing to sustain this beauty and protect the nature. Some others are just unaware of how to do this, especially while traveling. To be a mindful gen'Zer, make your trips care-free but also waste-free, as much as possible!
1. Repeat with me: Plastic bottles are just a huge waste.
We all know that in many places around the globe the water is not suitable for drinking and it can definitely ruin a whole trip. For this reason, most of us end up buying numerous plastic bottles. An alternative solution to this is to buy reusable bottles with a built-in filter, to have peace of mind and less plastic around you.

2. Prefer walking or using public transport
Is there a better way to explore a place rather than walking around? With walking, you get to see the hidden and most interesting aspects of a destination, and you also spare the environment from pollution caused by transportation. But, of course, if your time is limited or you are not a huge fan of walking, choosing to use public transport would be the optimal choice.

3. Pack your snacks!
When we discover a place, we often consume a lot of energy and we get hungry. Instead of buying food in plastic containers, you could use reusable containers and carry snacks like nuts, fruits or whatever you want with you. This way, you will also make sure that you make healthy food choices!

4. Digital over print
Who needs paper tickets, magazines for the flight, print newspapers, when you can find everything online? eBooks, emagazines & newspapers, as well as tickets in their digital form, are a great way to save some trees and do good to the environment.

5. Support local products and local businesses
If you enjoy shopping when you are a tourist, you can consider supporting local, small businesses that follow more ethical practices and they sell products in a more sustainable way, unlike large multinational companies. By helping the environment, you will also help the locals who need to survive.
